Just contacted by a Better Boundaries volunteer who said. "I see that you want to have your signature removed from the Prop 4 petition. Our response was “NO WE DON’T WANT OUR SIGNATURES TO BE REMOVED!” We are concerned that names will be removed through miscommunication & misinformation. Please be prepared to follow-up with names that are being removed improperly and possible forgery on those Better Boundaries removal forms. We are concerned citizens & wanted you to have this information. Please let us know if you have received these message. Would love to have a phone number to contact you in regards to urgent matters.

I just received a mailing, paid for by “Utahns for Responsive Government” encouraging me to remove my signature from a petition to put the Prop 4 issue on the November ballot. 


To be clear, I knowingly and willingly signed the petition when a canvasser knocked on my door and politely asked for my signature on the issue. There were no scare tactics. There was no coercion. They did not use inflammatory language like you used in your mailing. Rather, it was a polite individual, who did not try to persuade my decision one way or another. Instead they simply asked if I wanted to sign.


If you want me to consider removing my signature, I encourage you to go door-to-door and approach citizens face to face. Have a conversation with me and the other signatories of the petition. But this mailing you sent feels intrusive and disingenuous. You even presumptuously printed an envelope with my return address? I am admittedly very suspicious of an organization who hides behind these types of mailings and uses data from a government database to target me. 


Please remove my name and contact information from any of your databases. 

Prop 4 is not going anywhere. Neither are voters rights, you terrorist pieces of subhuman homunculus 💩.

“to return the power of drawing Utah’s congressional maps to the Legislature—where the Constitution says it belongs” is a funny way to say “the voters and judiciary kept deciding that our maps were blatantly unconstitutional so we are removing their constitutional right to do anything about it.”

It’s telling, but not surprising, that your organization is only willing to use the law as far as it enriches themselves, but are happy enough to break it if it becomes inconvenient.

But I believe in free and fair elections and independent bodies that can help make it happen. I assume you got my number by someone forging my name on your petition. I did not sign, and will not sign as it is a direct violation of the law that republican’s are pushing for. 1. You’re all liars. You are literally asking citizens to sign a petition to ‘repeal’ gerrymandering legislation when in fact you are petitioning that gerrymandering is brought back!!! You want republican drawn districts, with republican oversight and republican analysis. How is that NOT gerrymandering.


2. I’ve been approached three times by your body men in public places, twice at a city building in Lehi!!!!!! The pitch was ‘hey…do you want to sign a petition to keep Utah more republican’. Do you all even know that YOU ARE TRYING TO LEGISLATE GERRYMANDERING?


3. You are advocating for Epstein loving, Trump loving, Bondi loving, Mike Lee loving, Vance loving, racist supporting, pedophile loving, Team USA suppressing, brown skin hating, black skin hating, lgbtqia+ hating, children hating politicians who only love themselves.


4. Something must really be happening on the other side of the aisle to feel like you have to legislate your opponents out of your way by taking control of voter districts. You operate in a state where a vast republican majority already exists? It begs the question why you all feel compelled to do this.

I’ve left an RSVP for today. My husband said he signed by a signature gatherer. He is riding down with me to Provo. I have heard of conflicting stories about some of the signatures not being valid because of the method of signature gatherers, so how do we find out if his is valid, and if he will sign when he comes with me. I’ve also heard that two signatures could invalidate his signature?, if so we don’t want to do that.

If you would actually send me a text a day or two before, instead of past the time, I could sign. Plus you you give a start time, but no end time. So poorly run. It’s as if you don’t want to get signatures.
