It’s pretty hard to find the petition online. When you search for it a bunch of propaganda against it comes up first. Just wanted to let you know.

The nonstop efforts to gut Prop 4 are nothing but blatant power grabs. Utahns voted for fair maps and real accountability, and Republicans in the legislature keep acting like that vote never happened. It’s insulting. It’s dishonest. And it shows exactly how desperate some of you are to cling to a monopoly on power in this state. I’m tired of watching elected officials pretend they value the will of the people while working behind the scenes to sabotage it.

I was unable to attend the Barnes park event. Will there be more in or around Davis country? I would like to sign the petition.

Do you get involved with issues affecting representative government in areas other than redistricting? I ask because Millcreek City just eliminated their formal relationship with their four community councils in a rather bush league move. As it most definitely affects an individual’s ability to get involved and have a formal voice in municipal issues short of running for city council or mayor.

Witnessed a male employee harassing women while trying to get signatures for prop 4 at the SLCC Redwood Campus. Was really unprofessional and I felt uncomfortable being there.

Hi, I would just like to provide feedback about one of your employees that was working at the SLCC Taylorsville Redwood Campus and gathering signatures for Prop 4. I did not grab his name but he was about 5’9, a bit pudgy, and had black, curly hair. This afternoon I was having a discussion with him and he used the words “good girl” to refer to me. I told him that I was uncomfortable with that and he refused to apologize. I don’t find it appropriate to sexually harass women, especially while you are on the job, and having employees like that doesn’t reflect well on your organization.

I’m trying to find the actual bill/prop that being proposed. I would think it would be available on your website. Where can I see it? Also, the web site is a little confusing. It seems people think they have “signed” for the proposal when they sign-up on your web site. Is there a way to make that more clear? Also, I really would like to be able to talk to a human to find out what gathering options there are for getting signatures. Would that be possible to talk to someone? What number can I call? Also, is the effort to go back to the way things were before Prop 4 because Prop 4 is incomplete or written poorly, or because Prop 4 is okay as it stands but because the judge did what she did, that now we have a problem? Is the problem Prop 4 or the judge? These are important things to understand when we talk to other people and ask for signatures.

Is my signing on this website considered a “signature” or does that need to be a physical signing of a hard-copy?

Is there any way to remove your signature? I signed before I learned about the actual tangible implications this will have on Utah’s redistricting. I do not want to have anything to do with this movement or organization, so if there is any way for me to remove my signature I would love to know about it.

This is a farce. Trying to convince folks that you believe in representative democracy is an outright lie. All you’re trying to do is take away representation from a significant portion of the Utah population who does not vote for the Republican party. Shame on your efforts to prey on the uninformed and eliminate fair competition. You’re like the kids next door changing the rules when they don’t get their way. This issue was voted on and the citizens of this state have made their voice clear. How can a legislature dominated by a single party possibly draw fair lines?
