This past Saturday in Murray we were approched by a man (and there was another too) in the Smiths parking lot. They lied straight to our face about what we were signing. Told us the Prop 4 was like the one in California. IT IS NOT, THEY ARE LYING TO YOU! THEY HIRE PEOPLE TO DRESS AND ACT LIKE LIBERALS TO CONFUSE YOU! WE PEOPLE ALREADY PASSED PROP 4 LAST ELECTION! Pull up the prop 4 and read it back to them, they will get flustered and run to thier cars! Mike Lee needs to be impeached for paying people to lie for signatures!

This is the biggest waste of time. For those that are new here: Prop 4 was actually FOR representative government but the GOPers in the Utah legislature couldn’t handle the fact that THE PEOPLE voted to check their power when it came to congressional map drawing. There were so many citizens wanting to sign the petition yesterday 1/29/2026 in Heber City at 4 pm. Waiting for over an hour. But no one with the petition showed up. Why notify everyone to come and sign, then not bother to show up. I am not impressed.

This information about where Proposition 4 came from and who supports it is incomplete. I voted for it as a Utah Republican and I believe it allows for voters to make sure our elected leaders behave ethically. It does not simply reflect outside interests. It reflects the desires of Utahns to have ultimate power over the representative government we elect. And that is a conservative principle that I know Utahns hold dear. Judges acted appropriately in this fight, and to leave out key details is to mislead Utahns into signing something that does not reflect their values. UFRG should not be using the mechanism they are fighting against to achieve their purposes. That’s a misuse of the system that will silence future grassroots efforts to hold our elected leaders accountable.
